Spectrum internet service across the Tri-Cities has smoothed out after a bumpy stretch last week.

The primary issue was solved as of 9 p.m. Wednesday, said Bret Picciolo, Charter Communication’s regional director of communications for Spectrum.

Picciolo said the problem was related to an equipment failure with a third-party vendor.

Even after the issue resolved itself, people continued to tweet at the Herald, even as late as Monday, about losses of service.

“We escalated (the issue) within our team and with our vendor, and worked to resolve it as quickly as possible,” Picciolo said.

Downdetector.com, a outage monitor site, shows the Tri-Cities now almost problem-free.

As for a billing credit, “We will work individually with customers who were impacted,” Picciolo told the Herald.
