Eight restaurants failed recent inspections by the Benton-Franklin Health District’s food safety team while another 11 passed with flying colors, including five that were being re-inspected.

The health district regularly inspects food retailers for compliance with food sanitation and handling regulations. Those earning 25 or more red points on a 418-point scale are scheduled for additional visits. Int takes on 10 red points on the follow-up visit to warrant an additional meeting.

Past inspections may be viewed online at bfhd.wa.gov/food/index.php.
