Sunrise on the Columbia is the calm before the storm
Sunrise on the Columbia River made for a beautiful setting Tuesday. The early calm was shattered in the late morning as high winds buffeted the Mid-Columbia and the Northwest. The National Weather Service said the winds and rain moving into the state will be stronger and heavier than expected as a trio of storms are bearing down.
