The state of Washington is asking volunteers to count the people walking and biking to work in Richland and Walla Walla this Tuesday through Thursday.

By making a count from 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. on the three days, the Washington State Department of Transportation will see how well it is providing safe and convenient bike and pedestrian routes for commuters.

Towns across the state have been picked for the study.

To volunteer, go to bikepedcount.wsdot.wa.gov.
