Eight fail, 11 nail Mid-Columbia restaurant inspections this week

Eight food service establishments face follow-up visits from the food safety team at the Benton-Franklin Health District in this week’s inspection roundup. Eleven establishments earned perfect scores.

Health inspectors routinely make unannounced visits to more than 1,000 licensed food retail establishments to inspect for sanitary conditions and safe food handling procedures. Establishments are rated on a 418-point scale. Those earning 25 or more red points on routine inspections or 10 or more red points on follow-up inspections rate a subsequent visit.
