Restaurant inspectors spent much of their time on follow-ups
It was a big week for follow-up inspections by the food safety team at the Benton-Franklin Health District.
The team regularly inspects more than 1,000 licensed food service establishments in the Mid-Columbia, scrutinizing them for food handling procedures, worker training and overall sanitation.
Those earning 25 or more red points on routine inspections or 10 or more on a follow-up rate an additional visit.
For the week ending Aug. 4, the team conducted 32 inspections, including 15 follow-ups.
