Kennewick welcomes native to police force

Chris Whitney, a Kennewick native, is the newest officer with the Kennewick Police Department.

Whitney joined the force on Thursday. Whitney graduated from Southridge High School and earned a degree in natural resources sciences from Washington State University.

He will be formally sworn in at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
