White Pass closed, no estimate for reopening

A snow slide has closed Highway 12 over White Pass in both directions.

The slide is near Wild Cat Creek.

Westbound traffic is stopped near Oak Creek and the eastbound traffic is stopped at the summit.

The state Department of Transportation has given no estimated time to reopen the highway.

“Crews are assessing the slide and information will be updated as soon as it is available,” said DOT.
