Explosive demolition training set at Boardman Naval facility

If you hear or see some explosions near Boardman this week, it’s just a drill.

Explosive demolition training is planned at the Naval Weapons System Training Facility at Boardman on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Dust clouds and ground vibrations may result, but the operations will pose no threat to the public, according to military officials.

A detachment from the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island is involved in the training.
