Three injured when elderly driver fails to yield in Kennewick
An elderly Oregon driver caused a wreck in which she and two others were injured after she failed to yield the right of way early Nov. 20.
The Washington State Patrol said that Joanne G. Massingale, 83, of Pendleton, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe northbound on Highway 397 when she turned west onto Olympia Street and into the path of a 2014 Ford Explorer driven by Theresa L. McKinnon, 48, of Kennewick.
The two drivers and McKinnon’s passenger, John C. McKinnon, 60, of Kennewick, were taken to Trios Health in Kennewick.
No drugs or alcohol were involved and all three were wearing seat belts. Both vehicles were totaled.
Massingale was charged with failure to yield the right of way.
