Transgender Day of Remembrance vigil set Sunday in Richland

A community vigil in honor of Transgender Day of Remembrance is scheduled for Sunday.

The event starts at 7 p.m. at Confluent Space Tri-Cities and includes candles, speakers and performance art. Participants are invited to write down the names of transgender people lost to hate crimes and violence.

The vigil is free and open to the public. It’s meant to be a way to remember people lost and show support.

Confluent Space Tri-Cities is at 285 Williams Blvd., Richland.
