Sustainable gardening workshop planned in Richland
If you are tired of election dirt and would rather get your hands in the dirt, a free workshop on sustainable gardening is planned for Saturday in Richland.
The Benton and Franklin conservation districts and the Columbia Basin Chapter of the Washington Native Plant Society organized the heritage garden workshop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Richland Public Library, 955 Northgate Drive.
Speakers are discussing the importance of butterflies, native forb plants for drought-tolerant landscaping and tips for creating landscapes that use limited water.
