Annual beggars banquet scheduled Nov. 5

The Safe Harbor and My Friend’s Place annual “Beggars Banquet” is at 6 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Benton Franklin County Fairgrounds.

My Friend’s Place is the first overnight sanctuary for homeless teens in Southeastern Washington. Safe Harbor offers support and training for families struggling to find a safe and stable environment.

The event will feature live, silent, and tiny tree auctions, and showcase the popular soup-tasting contest.

At 5 p.m., there will be a pre-function “100 Bowls” party for only 100 ticket holders. It will showcase bowls by local artist Pat Fleming. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be provided.
