Franklin County standing by to register voters Saturday
The deadline for new Washington voters to register in time to cast a ballot on Nov. 8 is coming up fast — Oct. 31.
The Franklin County Elections Department is offering extended hours Oct. 29 to help voters sign up.
Staff will be stationed near the ballot drop box at the Franklin County Courthouse, 1016 N. Fourth Ave., Pasco, from noon to 5 p.m., on Oct. 29.
As previously noted, Benton County is also extending its hours to accommodate new voters.
Its offices in Prosser, Kennewick and Richland will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 29. It will have special hours through election night. Call 509-736-3085 for information.
