Fair donates $2,200 to Second Harvest

The Benton Franklin Fair recently donated almost $2,200 to nonprofit organization Second Harvest.

The fair donated $2 for each adult admission and ticket sold on opening day before 2 p.m. An additional $396 was raised during the People’s Choice vote at the BBQ Cook-Off.

The donation is equivalent to 12,996 pounds of food and is the second-largest contribution the fair has made to Second Harvest in the nine-year history of the donation program.
