United Way hires new officer

George Woodward has joined United Way of Benton & Franklin Counties as chief operating officer.

He was formerly the chief information officer for elevate, a Richland information technology services firm.

Woodward earned an MBA from Washington State University and has lived in the Tri-Cities since 2011.
