No injuries reported in Prosser ammonia ‘burst’

West Benton Fire & Rescue reports workers at Milne Fruit Products were able to control an ammonia leak Tuesday before the fire department reached the scene.

The leak, described as a burst, apparently caused little damage and no injuries.

Milne Fruit is at 804 Bennett Ave., near Prosser’s Keene-Riverview Elementary. Details of how the incident affected the school were not available Tuesday evening.
