Summer dam locking schedule ends on Snake, Columbia
The summer schedule for recreational boats locking through the Army Corps of Engineer’s Columbia and Snake River dams has ended.
Recreational boats now may lock through the dams on the lower Snake and Columbia rivers on request rather than on a set schedule, but only during daylight hours. Commercial vessels will be given preference.
The locks will be closed for 14 weeks starting Dec. 12 for repairs.
