Tri-City Genealogical Society event set for Sept. 14

Susan Davis Faulkner and the Tri-City Genealogical Society will present “Have No Fear — The Soundex Converter is Here” and “Feet on the Ground” at 6:15 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively, Sept. 14 at the Charbonneau Retirement Center in Kennewick.

“Have No Fear” will explain the Soundex, why it exists, and how to use it as a method of indexing names.

“Feet on the Ground” will deal with ancestors and Thomas MacEntee’s pointers for a genealogy research trip.
