Coronavirus

Getting a COVID test is easier starting today in Tri-Cities. Longer hours offered

COVID-19 testing hours have been expanded at the HAPO Center, formerly TRAC, in Pasco to be more convenient for people with jobs.

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 8, drive-thru testing by the Washington National Guard will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays.

Testing is free, but people are asked to bring their health insurance card if they have one to help defray costs.

Anyone who believes they should be tested may use the site.

Those who have symptoms of infection with the coronavirus, have had a test recommended by their doctor or who have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 are urged to get tested. No doctor’s order is required.

Participants will be contacted by phone in three to seven days with results.

Drive-thru testing is no longer being done at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, but capacity at the Pasco drive-thru site has been expanded.

Testing also is available at many clinics in the Tri-Cities area. The local health district has details posted at bit.ly/TCtestingsites.
