Goodwill is back open in Tri-Cities. And 3 stores will take your donated items
The three Tri-Cites Goodwill stores started taking drive-thru donations on Monday, July 6.
“We’ve received a lot of requests to reopen for donations as customers stay home, stay healthy and completed a lot of spring-cleaning projects that involve decluttering,” said Ken Gosney, chief executive of Goodwill of the Columbia.
Stores also have reopened to shoppers.
On Friday, Benton and Franklin counties were allowed limited reopening of nonessential stores with customers limited to 15% of capacity and remaining in the store for no more than 30 minutes.
People donating items should stay inside their car, open their trunk and a masked and gloved Goodwill employee will remove donations.
There also are marked locations at each of the three stores where people can unload donations themselves. Other donation sites around the Tri-Cities remain closed until Phase 2 of reopening.
Donations will be accepted 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The stores are at 201 Wellsian Way, Richland; 345 S. Columbia Center Blvd., Kennewick; and 3521 W. Court St., Pasco.
