Mid-Columbia Libraries offers Spring Reading Challenge online

The Mid-Columbia Libraries is inviting the public to register online for the Spring Reading Challenge as a way to stay engaged with the library during its closure.

MCL closed all its branches through April 24 is response to coronavirus.

Participants in the challenge may join by playing Book Bingo and/or track their reading and listening of audiobooks.

Everyone who registers will be entered in a weekly drawing for Amazon digital gift cards, and readers have a chance to win a Kindle or Apple Airpod.

To access books during the closure, MCL offers a digital library card through the Libby app and is increasing the number of digital books and audiobooks it offers to keep up with increasing demand.

MCL also is having a live storytime every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. on its Facebook page.
