3 more coronavirus cases confirmed in Tri-Cities area by Benton Franklin Health District
The Tri-Cities area has three more cases of novel coronavirus, the Benton Franklin Health District reported Tuesday afternoon.
They bring the total cases in the two counties to 19, including 12 in Benton County and seven in Franklin County.
The number of deaths from COVID-19 remain at three, all in Benton County.
The new cases include a Benton County woman in her 50s who is in the hospital and a Benton County woman in her 40s who is recovering at home.
The third case was Franklin County man in his 50s, but information was not immediately available about whether he was hospitalized.
Tuesday evening the state Department of Health announced 13 more deaths from COVID-19 since Monday for a total of 123. King County continued to have the most deaths, 94.
The number of cases increased by 248 to 2,469, with about half of them in King County. Of the state’s 39 counties, at least 31 have cases.
