4 new coronavirus cases reported in Tri-Cities area, bringing total to 16
Four new novel coronavirus cases were confirmed on Monday by the Benton-Franklin Health District.
They bring the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Tri-Cities area to 16, with 10 in Benton County and six in Franklin County.
The new cases Monday include two Benton County women. One is in her 90s and is hospitalized. The other is in her 30s and is recovering at home.
The two new cases confirmed in Franklin County also were women, one in her 50s and one in her 30s. Both are recovering at home.
The number of deaths remained at three Monday in the bicounty area. All were in Benton County.
The number of coronavirus tests completed and reported to the local health district as of Monday was 104 in Benton County and 43 in Franklin County.
The number of deaths in Washington state attributed to the novel coronavirus topped 100 on Monday, reaching 110 deaths, according to the Washington state Department of Health. The majority of the deaths, 87, are in King County.
Total number of cases was 2,221, with cases in at least 31 of the state’s 39 counties. King County has 1,170 of the cases.
