2 more coronavirus cases reported in Tri-Cities area. Both are in Franklin County
The Benton-Franklin Health District reported two new cases of COVID-19 in Franklin County on Sunday.
Although the health district has released a report showing 11 cases now in the two counties, it also has posted a chart that appears to show 12 cases.
The cases include three novel coronavirus deaths, all in Benton County, with the most recent death reported on Saturday.
The two counties had no confirmed cases until March 16.
The newest cases include a Franklin County man in his 60s who had a positive test, and a Franklin County woman in her 60s who has symptoms and close contact with a confirmed case, according to the health district.
Both are being cared for at home.
The health district’s chart shows seven cases in Benton County with positive test results and one case without a test result linked to contact with a confirmed case.

The number of deaths in Washington state attributed to the novel coronavirus hit 93 Saturday, according to the Washington state Department of Health.
Total cases were 1,793, with cases in at least 28 of the state’s 39 counties.
