Trios nephrologist earns Interventional nephrology certification

Dr. Vamsi Kanneganti, a nephrologist at Trios Health in Kennewick, has received certification for Interventional nephrology from the American Society Diagnostic and Interventional nephrology.

“The certification allows him to complete advanced procedures for the treatment of complex and acute kidney diseases and conditions,” a Trios news release said.

He also can perform some new procedures and therapies under the certification.

Kanneganti joined the health system’s nephrology team in 2013.

He completed a nephrology fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois, and he completed an internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center affiliated with the University of Illinois in Chicago. He also holds a master’s degree in exercise physiology from Eastern Michigan University.

Kanneganti is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology.
