Walla Walla General Hospital receives award for emergency care
Adventist Health/Walla Walla General Hospital has been named a 2016 Women’s Choice Award recipient as one of America’s best hospitals for emergency care.
The award honors the Emergency and Chest Pain Center’s focus on an exceptional patient experience and commitment to providing the highest level of emergent care to the Walla Walla community, according to a press release. This is the second consecutive year that the hospital has received this recognition.
It places the hospital in the top 5 percent in the nation for emergency care, out of the 3,800 emergency rooms which report data to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The Women’s Choice Award identifies the nation’s best health care organizations by measuring against the needs and preferences of women when it comes to treatment and a quality hospital experience.
“Women play an essential role both in providing care and making decisions about the health of their loved ones,” said Linda Givens, interim vice president of patient care at Walla Walla General Hospital. “We provide a no-wait emergency and chest pain center that individuals and families in our community can rely on when minutes matter most.”
