Learn Alzheimer’s communication strategies in Richland

Communicating with those who have Alzheimer’s or dementia is topic of an Oct. 22 program sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association

Participants will explore how communication takes place, learn to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia and identify strategies to help connect and communicate at each stage of the disease.

The seminar is 1-3 p.m. Oct. 22 at in the Kadlec Healthplex in the Sycamore Room, 1268 Lee Blvd. in Richland.

The seminar is free and open to the public, and is geared toward the friends and family of men and women who suffer from Alzheimer’s or dementia.
