Breast cancer seminar offered Oct. 21 in Kennewick

Dr. Laurie Evans and Dr. Karen Vaniver will speak at a free Tri-Cities Cancer Center seminar on breast cancer.

The “Breast Cancer and Reconstruction” seminar is noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 21 at the center, 7350 W. Deschutes Ave., Building A, in Kennewick.

Evans, a breast surgeon, will discuss the Breast Center of Excellence being developed at the cancer center.

Vaniver, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, will discuss Breast Reconstruction Advocacy Day and the benefits for patients. She also will explore various surgical options for patients, including breast-conserving surgery and post-mastectomy reconstruction.
