Health district to hold chronic disease self-management classes

Those who live with chronic illness are invited to attend a free six-week chronic disease self-management workshop, offered by the Benton-Franklin Health District.

Participants will learn how to handle severe fatigue and pain, improve their nutrition and exercise choices, cope with stress and develop weekly action plans. In addition, participants will be taught how to improve their communication with health care providers and family members.

Workshops will be from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mondays, starting Sept. 14. The group will meet at the Kennewick health district office, 7102 W. Okanogan Place. To sign up, call 509-460-4200.
