Community blood drive planned Sept. 10 in Walla Walla

The Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center is partnering with the Red Cross to hold a community blood drive on Sept. 10.

It runs from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the center’s Theater Building 78 and is in memory of those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Anyone 18 and older may donate. Parental consent is required for donors who are 16 to 17 years old. All blood types are needed.

To make an appointment, call 800-733-2767 or go to www.redcrossblood.org and search for the Walla Walla VA in the “find a blood drive” box. Walk-ins also are welcome.

The center is at 77 Wainwright Drive, Walla Walla.
