Richland man is Areva engineer of the year
Michael Salisbury of Areva in Richland has been named the company’s North American engineer of the year.
He was recognized for redefining the mission of Areva’s Modular Extraction Recovery Facility in Richland to recover uranium from incinerator ash.
He and other engineers were nominated by their peers. Then business group management and an independent internal committee considered their contributions to their business unit and how well they exemplify operational excellence through safety, quality, performance, delivery, innovation and community involvement.
