Military magazine names Betchel and Energy NW top Military Friendly Employers

Betchel and Energy Northwest have been named Military Friendly Employers by the publisher of G. I. Jobs and Military. The designation is given to companies demonstrating a commitment to hiring, training and retaining current and former military personnel.

Betchel has a long history of supporting serving members and veterans from all service branches. The company is participating in a construction industry-wide initiative to hire 10,000 military veterans. Betchel supports programs such as Helmets to Hardhats, Network of Champions and more. This year, eight percent of Betchel’s new hires in the U.S. have been veterans.

Every year, Energy Northwest employs nearly 300 military veterans. Brent Ridge, vice president for corporate services and chief financial/risk officer, said there is a strong relationship between the military and commercial nuclear power. “We have found great team members from all branches of service who have strengthened our organization,” he said in a statement.
