Gesa completing merger with Spokane credit union

Richland-based Gesa Credit Union will complete its acquisition of Spokane-based Northland Credit Union on Nov. 2, according to a news release.

The merger, which has already been approved by both boards, will give Gesa members access to services at the former Northland location in Spokane, located at 9625 N. Newport Highway, while former Northland members will be able to use all Gesa services.

The branch will be Gesa’s first in Spokane.

“This merger agreement is a positive move for the Inland Northwest, Gesa’s members, and the members of Northland,” said Don Miller, Gesa’s President and CEO. “We’ll be stronger and better able to compete in the financial services marketplace by diversifying our membership.”
