Kennewick attorney attends family law trial advocacy program
Kimberly J. Powell, attorney with Ashby Law PLLC, recently attended a family law program at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy in Boulder, Colo.
Space for the family law program is limited. Powell was the only attorney in attendance from the Pacific Northwest this year.
The National Institute of Trial Advocacy is the nation’s leading provider of legal advocacy skills training. The family law program, often referred to as “boot camp” for trial lawyers, covers the examination of fact and expert witnesses, introduction of exhibits, making and meeting objections, opening statements and closing arguments.
Each attorney in attendance is expected to have, or learn, a high moral compass to create and promote the highest quality professional and ethical family law advocacy.
