Tucannon Cellars to host grand opening event and fundraiser this weekend

Tucannon Cellars’ Benton City branch will have its grand opening from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 24 at 40504 N. Demoss Road.

The formal ribbon-cutting will be at 1 p.m. The event will include waived tasting fees, entertainment, snacks and tours of the new facility.

Also, Tucannon Cellars will launch its “Toast to a Cure” fundraiser with an event from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 25 at its Benton City facility. The event will feature wood-fired pizza, wine-related vendors, raffles and games. There will be art on display from 1 to 3 p.m., and live music from 5 to 8 p.m.

The proceeds will go to research aimed at increasing the quality of life for individuals with diabetes. Tucannon Cellars will donate $1 for every bottle of wine sold, in addition to holding an online donation-based campaign.
