Wheatland Bank to expand to Tri-Cities
The former Bank of Whitman branch in Pasco will reopen next year as the first Wheatland Bank branch for the Tri-Cities.
Wheatland Bank, a community bank, recently announced it would open a branch at at 9715 Sandifur Parkway in February.
The community bank is in the process of buying the 6,400-square-foot former Bank of Whitman and plans to start remodeling the bank soon.
Steve Lancaster, an agricultural loan specialist, was hired as a senior vice president and regional team leader for the company’s Tri-City expansion efforts.
The company plans to hire eight to ten people.
The Pasco branch will be Wheatland Bank’s 14th. The company has more than 15,000 customers in Eastern Washington.
