Flagger certification available in Yakima

Yakima Valley Community College will hold a flagger certification training workshop from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 21 at the the college's Skills Center Building, Room W106, at South 16th Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard in Yakima.

The flagger training provides certification for work zone traffic control flaggers. Participants will receive a study guide and have the opportunity to take the state certification exam.

Admission is $45. Participants must register by Aug. 19. To register, go to the YVCC Registration office to pay the training fee and fill out all necessary forms.
