Costco members' latest obsession can be found in the bakery department.

Between blueberry cheesecake caramelized croissants and double chocolate mint sundaes, Costco has proven time after time that its dessert game is strong. Now the scuttlebutt is about a smaller treat at the warehouse club.

First spotted by Costco-centric content creators in mid-June, CT Bakery's Mini Croissant Donuts − also known as cronuts − instantly garnered shoppers' attention, with some commenting that they were eager to try them, and others providing product reviews.

"My wallet is crying but my stomach is singing," one user wrote.

Another said they bought some in Plain City, Ohio: "They are awesome."

A few folks weren't fans of the cronuts, commenting that they were "extremely stale" and that the glazed ones were "very wet."

How to find now-viral Costco dessert?

According to a June 14 clip from a Costco influencer, the 20-count package of CT Bakery's Mini Croissant Donuts contains both cinnamon sugar and glazed cronuts. The assortment appears to retail for $9.99, though prices and availability may vary by market.

Costco did not immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for more information on its latest menu item, and it is unclear if the new dessert has rolled out nationwide.

Costco members can check the Costco app or website to confirm availability of the cronuts at their nearest location.

Cronuts combine the best of both worlds

Cronuts, a cross between traditional French croissants and classic American-style donuts, have gained significant popularity in recent years, according to lifestyle media outlet Good Housekeeping.

The appeal of the pastry, at least to some, is that it retains a circular shape and the "signature sweetness of a donut" while donning the layered texture seen in a traditional croissant.
