Openings: Popular Tri-Cities restaurant changing cities and its name
The Endive Eatery, a popular West Richland cafe known for its soups, salads, sandwiches and chef-prepared dishes, is moving to Richland and rebranding as The Endive Friterie.
Claire and Edward Shoemaker established Endive in West Richland in 2019.
With the lease on its Kennedy Road quarters set to expire, they are launching a new endeavor and closing their original location.
The new version will open as The Friterie in two to three weeks at 94 Lee Blvd. at the entrance to Howard Amon Park.
The spot was formerly Moonstruck Brewing at the Park.
The Friterie will offer lunch and dinner, including small plates, cocktails and other beverages.
It has applications pending for a license to serve cocktails and sell wine, cocktails and growlers to go. Go to theendiveeatery.com/
Golf Universe makes its move
Golf Universe has completed its second major move in as many years.
The all-things-golf business is now open at its newly built space at Canyon Lakes Golf Courts in Kennewick.
The move came after the owners of Golf Universe purchased Canyon Lakes and moved to update aging facilities, expand parking and an overall refresh with new retail space, golf cart garage, improved dining options and more.
Golf Universe closed its longtime home on West Clearwater Avenue in late 2023, and moved into a newly-built spot near Kamiakin High School.
The move forced Golf Universe to leave its driving range and putting facilities behind.
The new home at Canyon Lakes places it alongside a full-service golf course as well as driving range and putting course. It features three bays for electronic golf and the services of a pro shop.
