Richland restaurant famous for ‘Bang Bang Shrimp’ closes after nearly 20 years

Bonefish Grill, known for its spicy “Bang Bang Shrimp” and hand-crafted cocktails, has closed its Tri-Cities location.

The restaurant was constructed in 2006 and closed abruptly on Dec. 17.

Bonefish was owned and operated by Issaquah, Wash.-based Evergreen Restaurant Group, which also owns the Outback Steakhouse location in Kennewick.

The company could not be reached about why it closed the Tri-Cities outlet.

Nationally, Bloomin’ Brands Inc. owns the Outback and Bonefish brands but told the Herald it does not own the Richland location at 133 W. Gage Boulevard.

Bonefish was the anchor tenant in the Richland strip mall west of Steptoe Street with also has a Wing-Stop, Papa Johns Pizza, a Salvadorian pupusseria restaurant and a few other businesses.
