Openings: New spot for Hawaiian-inspired food truck + STCU adds new branch

The Local Bite moves

The Local Bite, a food truck serving Hawaiian inspired dishes, has a new owner and a new location.

In 2024, Kristal and Race Ostman purchased the truck from Rachel and Scott Lundegard, who established the business on Edison Street, near Kamiakin High School.

The Ostmans moved the truck first to Summer’s Hub and now, to the Port of Kennewick’s Columbia Gardens Artisan Village, 323 E. Columbia Gardens Way, west of the cable bridge in Kennewick.

The Local Bite, now located at 325 E. Columbia Gardens Way in Kennewick, will operate Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. as well as some weekends, depending on their off-site catering commitments. Owners, Kristal and Race Ostman purchased The Local Bite from her childhood friend in 2024.
