What’s the best winery in Tri-Cities? Vote in the first round of our bracket

Wine tasting is a popular pastime in the greater Tri-Cities area. It’s situated in the Columbia Valley viticultural area, where there are millions of acres growing Washington’s wine grape supply.

That means there are dozens upon dozens of winery options in the region.

Last week, the Herald issued a callout for readers to nominate their favorite local winery. We’ve taken your suggestions and created a bracket of 32 wineries. Over the next few weeks, several rounds of voting will be conducted, until a final favorite is crowned.

Some of the nominations are within Tri-Cities, like Richland’s Barnard Griffin Winery or Kennewick’s Farmhand Winery, while others are from the greater area like Benton City’s Cooper Wine Company. Many are in Prosser, like WIT Cellars and Airfield Estates.

There were two nominations in Walla Walla that were not included due to proximity, Devona and Saviah Cellars.

This preliminary round of voting will narrow down the list of 32 to a top 16. Voting will remain open until noon on Monday, June 30. You can vote as many times as you’d like in that time frame.
