Tri-Cities nightclub reopens for dancing. Plus other business openings

Two places to get brews are opening — or reopening — in Tri-Cities.

One offers coffee, the other beer.

The Branding Iron 213 W. Kennewick Ave. in downtown Kennewick, again will be having music and dancing for the first time since December.

The bar, restaurant and nightclub that features country and classic rock music closed in early December during COVID shutdowns because to-go only orders couldn’t offset the costs.

Kick-off hours will be 5 to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays only. A DJ will be playing music from 7 to 10:30 p.m. with a $5 cover charge. No live music is allowed yet under COVID-19 restrictions.

The dance floor and pool tables will be open but there is a limit of 68 people inside the club at any given time. Entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Masks must be worn at all time except when sitting at a table — where Branding Iron’s full food menu will be available. For now, the bar will be only offering bottled beer until business picks up.

Ryan and Vicci Sontag, who bought the nightclub in May 2018, posted that they took time during the 5-month COVID shutdown in 2020 to remodel and do some remodeling.

Rocoe’s Coffee Shop, 2009 Logston Blvd. in north Richland, is having its grand opening next week — nearly a year after COVID delayed the original opening.

It’s owned by Treasure Valley Coffee Company of the Columbia Basin.

Roscoe’s drive-thru and cafe opens March 1 just down the street from Horn Rapids RV Resort off Highway 240.

This is Treasure Valley Coffee’s first move into a retail market. The locally-owned wholesale roaster provides coffee and supplies to outlets such as hotels, restaurants, offices and convenience stores.

Roscoe’s Coffee will feature Treasure Valley coffee drinks, as well as beans for sale by the pound and bagels, pastries and sandwiches. Coffee-related products such as mugs and more also will be available for sale.

Indoor seating will be offered, and eventually outdoor seating will be set up as the weather warms.

The opening of Roscoe’s Coffee is another step in the $1 million expansion for the largest coffee roaster in Eastern Washington.

Last year, Treasure Valley moved operations from east Kennewick into a new 20,000-square-foot warehouse at the Horn Rapids Business Center in Richland.

Hours will be from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Friday to Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Roscoe’s Coffee is on Instagram and Facebook.

Expanding

Best. Price. Ever., 3431 W. Court St. in Pasco, sells discounted overstock, seasonal, damaged boxes and returned items from retailers such as Costco, Amazon, Target and Walmart has doubled its floor sales space.

Owner Scott Holgate opened the store in 2016, selling furniture, toys, tools, decor, electronics and more for 40% to 60% off retail prices. The store gets shipments from the big box stores that are always a mix of products.

Holgate expanded last month to include the space next door formerly occupied by Payless ShoeSource, which closed in 2019. The renovation added about 3,200 square feet and the space is filled nearly entirely with clothes from Costco that sell for about half of retail prices.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Online: best-prices-ever.business.site or on Facebook
