1st phase of $85M casino expansion about to be revealed. And 2 Tri-Cities openings
Wildhorse Resort & Casino is completing the first phase of an $85 million project to bring a bowling center, food court and arcade to its newly expanded Wildhorse Family FunPlex.
The second phase will include another hotel tower.
The Oregon casino — about an hour away from Tri-Cities, near Pendleton — is owned by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, and said that it is on track to open its family-friendly center by the end of September.
“The tribe is very pleased to see our planning for the FunPlex move forward,” board Chairwoman Kat Brigham said in a news release. “We are very pleased to offer bowling as a sporting activity for the entire community. So many families love this sport and we all look forward to seeing everyone enjoy this entertainment venue.”
Quaking Aspen Lanes will feature 24 lanes with eight of them designated as boutique lanes geared toward private parties and events. Rooms adjacent to the bowling alley are available to rent for parties.
Full menus will be accessible from the food court, along with bar service. In addition to the house-run restaurant with standard American fare such as pizza and hamburgers, Thai food Moe Phở Noodles and Cafe as well as Brigham Fish ‘n Chips have been added.
More than 30 high-tech games have been installed in the 2,500-square-foot arcade where points can be redeemed for prizes.
