Harold Williamson, a licensed professional engineer in Richland, has been honored by NCEES for his service to the profession.

Williamson received the organization’s Distinguished Examination Service Award during its annual meeting, held recently in Miami Beach.

Williamson served on the PE Chemical Exam Development Committee from 2000 to 2013. He joined the PE Nuclear Exam Development Committee in 2003 and is a past chairman.

He was a member of the Washington State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors from 1998 to 2007. He is a fellow and life member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and a life member of the American Nuclear Society and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and belongs to the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

He is a past president of the Washington Society of Professional Engineers.
