Hanford employee receives Air Force Commendation Medal
Andrew Fudge of Richland, an employee of Mission Support Alliance at Hanford, has received an Air Force Commendation Medal for his work to develop intelligence for preventing cyber attacks against the Air Force.
During the last several years, Fudge created critical documents and presentations for the members in his squadron, increasing cybersecurity awareness on emerging cyber threats and cybercriminal tactics.
Fudge, who is a staff sergeant with the 256th Intelligence Squadron at Fairchild Air Force Base, serves one weekend a month. He was recently accepted to be an officer with the Air Force and will start training in 2018.
At Mission Support Alliance, fudge works with the contractor’s cybersecurity team to protect Hanford information technology infrastructure.
