Norwegian Cruise Line is expanding its discount offers for those who serve with a new program honoring first responders.

In addition to offering a military appreciation program that extends a discount of up to 20% to members of the military, veterans, and their spouses, as well as a cruise discount for teachers, Norwegian just launched a new program to thank the dedicated professionals who show up when it matters most.

Through the new program, Norwegian joins a small group of cruise lines, including Margaritaville at Sea and Virgin Voyages, that recognize everyday heroes with meaningful savings year-round.

Norwegian Cruise Line introduces cruise discount for first responders

As of April 27, Norwegian Cruise Line is now offering a first responders discount to recognize and honor first responders, including firefighters, police officers, and emergency medical technicians (EMTs).

Norwegian's first responders discount offers eligible travelers 5% off the cruise fare portion of any cruise, anytime. For even bigger savings, select itineraries will offer first responders 15% off eligible guarantee (GTY) staterooms. Plus, the first responders discount can be combined with Norwegian's current promotions and Free at Sea cruise package, offering first responders the opportunity to maximize savings on a cruise vacation.

Norwegian's cruise discount for first responders is available to active and retired first responders in an officially recognized emergency or public safety role who are at least 18 years old and legal residents of the U.S. First responder status must be verified through ID.me.

"What really makes this new cruise discount for first responders stand out is that there are no strings attached all year long. Just like it does with its year-round military discount, Norwegian is making a first responder discount available on any sailing - not just select itineraries at off-peak times," said Dennis Post of Postcard Travel Planning, Come Cruise With Me's travel agent partner who hosts an annual military and first responders cruise on a Norwegian cruise ship.

Annual military and first responders cruise honors those who serve

A veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard with a background in law enforcement, Post knows how much a relaxing cruise vacation can help frontline workers and their families recharge.

Military members, first responders, and their family and friends, can even take advantage of the opportunity to combine Norwegian's discounts for military and first responders with Postcard Travel Planning's 2027 military and first responders cruise on Norwegian Escape March 12 – 19, 2027. The cruise will sail from Port Canaveral, Florida to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Norwegian's recently enhanced private island in The Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay.

"My wife, Amy, and I founded our travel agency in 2015 after many years of travel experience with the desire to serve those who serve. With our annual military and first responders cruise, we've personally designed special events and perks to enhance heroes' relaxation and fun," said Post.

The special cruise honors military members and first responders, but you don't have to be one to join the fun, which will include a private cocktail party, a heroes tribute and recognition event, slot pulls, a poker run, and other group activities.

Come Cruise With Me Editor in Chief Dan Kline will be on board to cruise with the group and help make sure everyone has the fun they deserve.

"It's an honor to get to help people who give us so much have an epic cruise," Kline said.
