Opening Lead: Queen of hearts.
Winners of the December Unit Game were Dudley Brown and Tom Edwards. The next best score below their 70% was 56%. This deal was a big help.
The Bidding: South opened with 1C and E/W found their hearts. Dudley and Tom could have doubled 3H for a top score, but they bid on to 5C.
The Play: The defenders got their two heart tricks and nothing else.
What Happened? The hand was played eight times. Six times it was played in clubs and once in diamonds by N/S. You may remember one of our bridge characters, Mr. 3NT. He did not disappoint us, he ended in 3NT, down one! Only Dudley and Tom received a game bonus and a top score..
