New Tri-City area website gives tips for water-wise gardens

The Heritage Garden Program has launched a new website at www.hgcd.info with information on water-wise landscaping in the arid Columbia Basin.

The website, with photos that may surprise those who think arid gardening is drab, offers virtual tours of existing Heritage Gardens and a calendar of events. It also includes information on landscape planning, including classifying plants by sun requirements, water use and ease of care.

The Heritage Garden Program is provided by the Benton and Franklin Conservation Districts.
